Description
This demonstration in Sacramento included the planting of a Toyon tree and a Digger Pine from the Stanislaus River Canyon. Mark Dubois was in attendance and spoke. It occurred at the Capitol on August 28, 1978. Huey Johnson, the California Secretary for Resources, for the first time came out in support of saving the Stanislaus at this rally.
