The original Parrott's Ferry, probably at the 1903 opening of the bridge
Description:
Thomas Parrott’s Ferry was a barge on a rope that could move people and other goods across the river. This photo is probably the last time the ferry was used and was likely taken at the dedication of a new bridge in 1903 (not exact date). That steel bridge was later replaced with a concrete bridge in the late 1930s .
