First in a set of interviews by Larry Orman with George Armstrong, founder of All Outdoors Rafting, and his sons Gregg and Scott, reviewing their history rafting and defending the Stanislaus River in the California Sierra Nevada foothills. This video covers George’s discovery of the Stanislaus in the early 1960s and the first (incredible!) family trips on it, plus his meeting Bryce Whitmore and the impact of that friendship on rafting on the river and beyond.
