The old check dam above Camp Nine put in

The old wooden check dam was just upstream of the old Camp Nine bridge, and is captured here nicely by time exposure. In the distance is the penstock (pipe) that brought water down from a forebay up on the mountain so that turbines just around the corner from this scene could generate power (and provide consistent flows for rafting the river).
