This important 10 page Friends of the River report by Phil Williams and D.W. Kelley lays out how California’s Decision 1422 could be used to define operating procedures for New Melones Dam that would spare the main rafting section of the Stanislaus River above Parrott’s Ferry – and far better meet the goals of the State’s Decision 1422, which set out the water allocations allowed for New Melones Dam.
