A Widowmaker situation you want to avoid

Generally, runs at Widow went far river right or made the center-right entry and jogged over to the (exciting) right hand slot. More rare was finding yourself straight on Widowmaker rock, as is the case here, as we look upstream. Mighty backpaddles to scoot river left needed – no record of what actually happened here afterwards! But on the river, things almost always turn out ok.
