Devil’s Staircase Rapid – wrong way, right way

The top photo shows a less-than-great move down the drop at Devil’s Staircase Rapid – the guide got the nose of the raft a bit right on the entry and the slower water has pulled him out of the great wave train that follows the drop. In the bottom photo, the paddle raft guide gets it just right, with a fun ride all the way down the wave train.  (who are the guides? ECHO?  Needs ID)
