Editing the FOR newsletter Headwaters – John Cassidy’s story

Headwaters was an incredible newsletter put out by Friends of the River during the 1970s and beyond (see all those early issues here). ARTA guide John Cassidy, who was also very involved in campaigns to save the Stanislaus River, edited the newsletter from 1978 though 1980. In this eight minute interview with Larry Orman in February 2025, John recalls what it took to publish the newsletter, on fumes for funding.
