Final newspaper poll report on Proposition 17. The poll shows that most people still hadn’t decided just before the election, though the “no” vote had some gains  But other reporting questioned the accuracy of the polling questions. In addition, polling after the election showed that many who voted “No” actually thought they were opposing New Melones Dam flooding the Stanislaus River.
