Great article by former Stanislaus (and Grand Canyon) guide, Rebecca Lawton talking about the loss of the Stanislaus and the emergence of the new efforts to “Reclaim Estanislao“, led by Sue Knaup:  “Knaup, president and chief instigator of the new group, has moved her activism into filmmaking. “When Mark wanted the Stanislaus story to be told as it should be—in pictures—I offered to create a movie about the 1970s fight.”  Sue (then Brooks) was the creator of the Save the Animals Campaign when the river was being flooded.
