Tim Palmer, author and photographer of the Stanislaus and many other rivers

Tim Palmer wrote the definitive story of most of the fight for the Stanislaus in his 1982 book, “Stanislaus – Struggle for a River“. Tim was also an exceptional photographer and guide who spent years around the Stan and the campaigns to save it, and who since has authored 20 books on rivers, including the 2018 “Wild & Scenic Rivers: An American Legacy”.
