Status: Dead River
By: Unknown
Description:

A 20 minute interview by Diane Doddridge with Martin Blake about his Stanislaus River Museum in Sonora, California, which functioned in the early 2000-2015 period. In the interview, Martin talks about issues regarding the Stanislaus River and his own dogged efforts to document the value of the river and the threats to it, through creating his museum in a storefront in Sonora. Marty passed away in 2022 – here’s a fine obituary written about him by Richard Anderson.  Ron Pickup, Stanislaus photographer and poet, shares his river experience and a poem in the last three minutes of the interview.
