Wilderness World poster, 1971

This Wilderness World (WW) poster features George Mancini rowing a Rubber Fabricators “assault raft” on the Stanislaus River around 1971. WW was created by Vladimir Kovalik, a legendary pioneer in the rafting world (read about his life and his amazing family in this 2005 oral history from the Grand Canyon River Guides Assoc.)  “Nature’s Magic Carpet” was the WW slogan.
